Here i'm gonna be posting all the machinimas that I have made that I believe are the "best" out of all the ones on my YouTube channel.
The date posted is that at which it was uploaded to YouTube. Perhaps with a little commentary.
May 21st 2009
One One Seven
Genre: Music Video
Game: Garry's Mod (Half-Life 2)
Background: About a Civil Protection unit "11759" and his life since the Combine Invasion, starting from being a Citizen to a commanding officer within the ranks.
Music: Atreyu - The Theft
Note: I actually started making that machinima earlier in 2009 or even in 2008, but I ran into difficulties and frustration and gave up for many months. I then returned to it and finished it, and I am quite happy with the result!
4th December 2009
Zombies Everywhere
Genre: Music Video
Game: Garry's Mod (Half-Life 2)
Background: Snapshots of life in a zombie apocalypse, leading up to the military stepping in and taking charge.
Music: Karate High School - Zombies Everywhere
Note: This is when I started experimenting with overlays, and I found a nice dark one which really complimented this video. I actually set myself a target to plan, direct and shoot a machinima over a weekend. So some of the camera work is a little off, but otherwise i'm pleased with the outcome.
15th February 2010
Intercepted Transmission
Genre: Action
Game: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Background: Sierra One is called on a mission to assassinate Yusif Urlav. An ex-Russian military operator who betrayed his country to start his own terrorist group which is supplied by an array of stolen weapons caches from Yusif's old military settlement. Yusif is planning an attack on a government body at any time soon. Action must be taken.
Music: Various music taken from Modern Warfare 2 itself. Battlefield Heroes Theme.
Note: My first Modern Warfare 2 machinma, AND my first machinima done with player actors. Bit of a hassle dealing with player actors but we got there eventually. Voice acting isn't all that great, but perhaps next time they'll be a little more enthusiastic. (Or i'll get some new ones )
23rd November 2010
Occupied
Genre: Thriller
Game: Garry's Mod (Half-Life 2)
Background: An office worker is about to be taught a lesson.
Music: Various from Ju-On, 28 Days Later, and other sources. Artists in the credits.
Note: This was a small project for Y12 Media Studies class. We were to create a short thriller using camera angles and techniques to create suspense.
Feel free to comment and critisize as you wish, I welcome it.
(Keep it constructive!)
